Solubility Rules
If the cation is a GROUP 1 cation or ammonium, the salt is VERY soluble and NO precipitate will be observed.
Solubility Rules
If the anion is NITRATE, CHLORITE, CHLORATE, PERCHLORATE, or ACETATE, the salt is largely soluble and NO precipitate will be observed.
Solubility Rules
If the anion is CHLORIDE or BROMIDE, or IODIDE, the salt is largely soluble and no precipitate will be observed UNLESS the cation is Silver (I), Mercury (I), or lead (II).
Solubility Rules
If the anion is FLUORIDE, the salt is largely soluble and no precipitate will be observed UNLESS the cation is one of the group 2 cations (AND LEAD II) other than Beryllium.
Solubility Rules
If the anion is sulfate, the salt is largely soluble and no precipitate will be observed UNLESS the cation is one of the group 2 cations (AND LEAD II) other than Beryllium or Magnesium.
Solubility Rules
The hydroxides of the GROUP 2 CATIONS of STRONTIUM, BARIUM, and RADIUM are soluble.
