Soft medd is when you stop on any letter that comes after a leen or soft letter. Prolong the sound of medd for 4 counts

What is compulsory Medd?

occurs when the Medd letter is followed by Original Sukoon (a physical sukoon sign). 6 counts

What is medd with presented sukoon?

it is when you stop on any letter that comes after(preceded by) a medd letter

What is Required attached medd? and what is the rule?

When the medd letter is followed by hamzah in the same word. Prolong the sound for 5 counts

What is Allowed separated Medd? and what’s the rule?

When the Medd letter is the last in the first word and hamzah is second in the next word

OR

When the Medd letter is followed by hamzah in a separate word

prolong sound by 4 counts

Major connecting medd and its rule?

When hamza comes after letter ه

Minor connecting Medd? and it’s rule

When the letter ه is between two voweled letters or it is voweled by kasrah or dummah. prolong sound by 2 counts

What is substitutional Medd?

When you stop on a letter and it has double fatha(fathatain), stop with Alif medd for 2 counts

و with sukoon after fatha and ي with sukoon after fatha
