Work
Work is done whenever a force makes something move.
Work done
Work done is the product of force and distance (W = F x d).
Energy transferred
Energy transferred is equal to the work done when a force moves an object.
Unit of Work
Work is measured in Joules (J).
Power
Power is the rate at which work is done.
Unit of Power
The unit of power is the watt (W).
1 Watt
One watt is energy transferred at the rate of one joule per second.
Efficiency
Efficiency is the ratio of useful energy output to total energy input, expressed as a percentage.
Power equation
Power can be calculated using the formula: power = work done / time taken.
W = Fd
The equation for work done states that work is equal to force multiplied by distance.
