Posterior segment
The back two-thirds of the eyeball, extending from the lens to the rear


Vitreous humor
A clear, gel-like substance occupying the posterior segment


Anterior segment
The front third of the eye, containing the cornea, iris, ciliary body, and lens


Aqueous humor
A clear, water-like fluid that fills the anterior space


Anterior chamber
The fluid-filled space at the front of the eye, bounded by the cornea (front) and the iris/lens (back)


Posterior chamber
The narrow, ring-shaped space in the eye filled with aqueous humor
