United all of China under his rule. Made big changes in the government. Based his rule on legalism. Created cencors. Created the great wall and the terrocotta army.

Liu bang

Founder of the Han dynasty. Was a peasant and then became an emperor. Divided the empire into provinces and counties. Threw out the harsh policies of the Qin dynasty.

Han Wudi

An emperor during the Han dynasty. Reached its peak under his rule. Had people take tests.

Cinncinatus

A roman dictator. Was given all the power of Rome but then gave it all back.

Hannibal

General of Carthage during the second Punic War. Best known for his idea to attack Rome. Saw quick military success over Rome.

Confucius

A great thinker, philosepher, and teacher. Founder of Confucianism. Wanted to end Chinas problems and bring peace.
