Latissimus Dorsi Origin
Inferior angle of the scapula; Spinous processes of T7-T12; Inferior 3rd or 4th rib; Iliac crest of hip
Latissimus Dorsi Insertion + Action
Bicipital groove of humerus
ADDUCTION of arm; EXTENSION of arm; Rotation of shoulder joint

Trapezius Origin
Nuchal ligament; Superior Nuchal line; Spinous processes of C7-T12
Trapezius Insertion + Action
Spine of scapula; Acromion; Lateral third of clavicle
EXTENSION of neck; ELEVATION/DEPRESSION of scapula

Deltoid Origin
Clavicle (ANTERIOR HEAD); Acromion (LATERAL HEAD); Spine of Scapula (POSTERIOR HEAD)
Deltoid Insertion + Action
Tuberosity of humerus
ABDUCTION of arm; FLEXION of shoulder

Supraspinatus Origin
Supraspinous fossa; Superior side of spine of scapula
Supraspinatus Insertion + Action
Greater tubercle of humerus
ABDUCTION of arm (lateral raise); Stabilizes glenohumeral joint

Infraspinatus Origin
Infraspinatus fossa; Inferior side of spine of scapula
Infraspinatus Insertion + Action
Greater tubercle of humerus
External rotation of shoulder/arm; Stabilizes glenohumeral joint

Teres Minor Origin
Lateral border of scapula
Teres Minor Insertion + Action
Greater tubercle of humerus
External rotation of arm; Stabilizes glenohumeral joint

Brachioradialis Origin
Lateral supracondylar ridge of humerus
Brachioradialis Insertion + Action
Styloid process of radius
FLEXION of forearm; SUPINATION/PRONATION of forearm

Extensor Carpi Ulnaris Origin
Lateral epicondyle of humerus; Posterior border of ulna
Extensor Carpi Ulnaris Insertion + Action
Base of the fifth metacarpal (pinky)
EXTENDS WRIST; ADDUCTS WRIST

Flexor Carpi Radialis Origin
Medial epicondyle of humerus
Flexor Carpi Radialis Insertion + Action
Bases of 2nd and 3rd metacarpal bones
FLEXION of wrist; ABDUCTION of wrist

Pectoralis Major Origin
Anterior surface/medial half of clavicle; Anterior surface of sternum; Superior 6 costal cartilages; Aponeurosis of external oblique muscle
Pectoralis Major Insertion + Action
Lateral crest of bicipital groove
ADDUCTION of humerus; Medial rotation of humerus; FLEXION/EXTENSION of humerus

Pectoralis Minor Origin
3rd to 5th ribs
Pectoralis Minor Insertion + Action
Coracoid process of scapula
Anterior/Inferior movement of scapula; Elevate ribs

Acromiotrapezius Action
Adducts the scapula

Clavotrapezius
Arises from the back of the skull and middorsal line of the neck and inserts on the clavicle. Its action is to extend the humerus in a forward direction.

Spinodeltoid
Arises from the scapula spine and inserts on the proximal portion of the humerus. Flex the humerus and rotate it outward.

Clavodeltoid
Originates from the clavicle and inserts on the ulna. This muscle flexes the forearm.

BRACHIORADIALIS cat

EXTENSOR CARPI RADIALIS cat
Produce wrist extension and abduction

EXTENSOR CARPI ULNARIS

Pectoantebrachialis
Its origin is the manubrium of the sternum, and its insertion is in a flat tendon on the fascia of the proximal end of the ulna. Its action is to draw the arm towards the chest.

PECTORALIS MAJOR cat

PECTORALIS MINOR cat

Xiphihumeralis
Assists pectoralis minor to adduct arm.

Ulnar Nerve
Provides motor innervation to part of the forearm and majority of the hand.

Sciatic Nerve and Tibial Nerve
Provides motor innervation to the posterior compartment of the thigh.
