What is an arctic air mass?

bittery cold → Jessica Pearson (on the top of the world)

what is a polar air mass?

cold → Harvey (Cold but more movement than Jessica)

what is a tropical air mass?

warm and hot → Mike Ross (full of energy and emoitons, rising through the ranks, clashes with Harveys polar air to create storms)

what is a equatorial air mass?

hot and humid → Louis Litt (he is alwasy steaming about something and emoitons are always at a boiling point)

what is a cold front?

Defintion: cold air replaces warm air, fast and casues storms
Suits: Harvey Specter enetering a room, hes the cold air, fast and aggressive and he clears out the warm air immedietly (sudden storm of a deposition)

what is a warm front?

Definition: warm air slides over cold air, slow and brings steady rain
Suits: mike rosses charm, he slowly wins people over, it takes longer and he is less aggressive than harvey, but it clouds the oppositiins judgement until hes taken over

what is a statonairy front?

neither side moves

what is an occluded front?

Defintion: a cold front catches up to a warm front, lifitng it off the ground
Suits: the surprise witness, a third part comes in so fast they complety cut off the original argument, ending the batttle

what is a convective lift?

Defintion: heat from the ground
Suits: a rumor starting in the office, it heats up and rises on its own

What is an orographic lift?

Definition: air his a mountain and has to go over
Suits: hitting a legal wall, you haev no choice but to go up and over it

what is a frontal lift?

Definiton: one air masses pushes another up
Suits: being forced into court by the opposition

what is a convergent lift?

Defitnion: air flows from different directions and meets in the middle
Suits: (Class Action) everyon is rushing to the same center point forcing the issue to rise

what is a supercell thunderstorm?

Defintion: a massive long lived thunderstorm witha. rotating uplift
Suits: ‘Lous Litt up’, a regular storm is a bad day but a supercell is when louis finds out somone used his dictaphone, the mesocyclone is his brain spiraling into a specialiazed roating fury that is defintly going to lead to a disaster

the rotating core of the supercell

what is a tornado?

Defintion: a violete roating column of air touching the ground

what is a tropical cyclone? (Hurricane)

Defintion: needs warmer ocean water, there is the eye (calm) and the eye wall (dangerous part)
Suits: ‘A full scale firm takeover’: where it starts warm opportunity and grows into a massive, spinning low pressure situation where everyone is fighting for survival (Donna, she is calm in the center of chaos but everythign is spinning around her, she is the reason why the structure stays close togther)

what are some hazards to hurricanes?

high winds, storm surge (flooding) and heavy rain
Suits: loss of clients as the wind sheds reputations

what are uneven surfaces?

Defintion: different surfaces (land, water and pavement) heat up at different rates, this leads to localized pressure differentes (some cases mountains act as barriers forcing air massess in different directions)
Suits: ‘Hierachy of the firm’, the surface of the firm is not flat, the different statueses lead to ‘pressure gradients’ and the ‘wind’ is the gossip and power struggles that flow between the levels.

what is the mechanism for hurricanes?

Defintion: warm, moist air rises, and creates low pressure, and starts to spin due to the coloris effect
Suits: starts with a “warm” opportunity and grows into a massive spinning “low pressure” situation where everyone is fighting for survival (the full scale firm takeover)
