Growth

Development
Advancement from a lower to a higher stage of complexity; involves maturation and learning.

Cephalocaudal pattern
Directional growth pattern that proceeds from head to toe.
Proximodistal pattern
Directional growth pattern from the midline of the body outwards to the periphery.
