You get a call from the son of the NI listed on the policy in OH. He wants to know add a vehicle and update the card information on the policy. The NI banking information is currently enrolled into automatic payments -but you also notice a treatment for automatic payments and Renters. What is the acceptable way to handle this call?

Since it not the NI but a person listed on the policy - Automatic Payments - Card/EFT: The following can be completed if card/checking account currently used for Automatic Payments is theirs (ask for last 4 digits of account to confirm caller is account owner). However if the card information isn’t theirs then no update can be made and as for adding the vehicle it isn’t under the acceptable changes so the NI would have call to make the changes but also they can give permission. As for the treatments consultants are only required to discuss if caller is named insured, spouse, or second named insured.
