Toponym is the name given to a place on earth

The location of a place in relation to other places. Situation helps us find unfamiliar places by comparing its location to one that is familiar.

An approach to geography that emphasizes the relationships among social and physical phenomena in a particular area or significant property that shows evidence of human interaction with the physical environment.
Formal/uniform Region
An area in which everyone shares in common one or more distinctive characteristics.
functional/nodal region
An area organized around a node or focal point.
Vernacular/perceptual region
A place that people believes exists as part of their cultural identity. A cognitive map can be example of vernacular region.
culture
The body of customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits that together constitute a group's distinctive tradition.
spatial association
The relationship between the distribution of one feature and the distribution of another feature.
site
The physical makeup of a place including its climate, water sources, and vegetation. In other words, what it looks like physically.
