Psychosis
Characterized as disruptions to a person's thoughts and perceptions that make it difficult for them to recognize what is real and what isn't.
Bipolar disorder
A mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings, including emotion highs such as mania and emotional lows such as depression.
Depression
A common mental health disorder, which involves persistent low mood, and loss of interest in activities.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
A mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening or deeply distressing event.
OCD
A long-lasting disorder in which a person experiences uncontrollable, recurring thoughts (obsessions) and feels compelled to repeat certain behaviors (compulsions).
Social anxiety
The intense fear of being judged, watched or embarrassed by others.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
A mental health condition in which people worry excessively about everyday matters, regarding health, finance or family for at least the last 6 months.
Panic Disorder
A treatable anxiety disorder characterized by recurrent, unexpected panic attacks.
Schizophrenia
A specific mental psychosis that affects one's interpretations of their surroundings and often creates false vivid hallucinations causing one to lose touch with reality.
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
A mental health condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, and relates to others. It often causes strong emotions, unstable relationships, and difficulty controlling impulses.
Seasonal affective disorder
A type of depression that normally occurs during specific times of the year, starting in the late fall and lasting throughout the winter months, primarily triggered by a decrease in sunlight.
Body Dysmorphia
A mental condition where people worry too much about minor abnormalities in their appearance, which are often unnoticeable to others.
Self-Injury/Self-Harm
Occurs when someone repeatedly harms themselves on purpose in a way that is impulsive and not intended to be lethal, often as a harmful way to cope with emotional pain, sadness, or stress.
Pica
An eating disorder characterized by the persistent craving and consumption of non-food items such as dirt, paint chips, ice, hair, or clay, for at least one month.
Anorexia Nervosa
An eating disorder and a serious mental health condition where individuals have a distorted mental image of their bodies, thinking they are fat despite being underweight.
