How do you define resilience, and when have you demonstrated it in your life?

• not js pushing through adversity but ability to grow thru experiences

• Streetlight > rejected > didn’t allow it to overcome passion for serving others

• strengthened my resume, practiced weaknesses, emphasized

• i now serve as a volunteer where i make an impact

 What is your personal definition of success, and how has it evolved over time?

• Success meant perfectionism, avoiding failure

• Anxiety and self doubt, negative mental health

• can’t fulfill passions as a leader if i myself am struggling

• success is resilience to failure and ability to acknowledge my growth and pour into communities as a leader

What accomplishments are you most proud of, and how have they shaped you as a person?

• VP of NSBWM

• 3% of Black women make up American physicians

• As VP, I assist with programming, mentorship, and pour to bridge the gap to provide resources community and confidence

• increase amt of black women in stem careers and inspire to achieve their aspirations

What role does technology play in shaping modern activism, and do you believe it is effective?

• Allow voices and problems who were silenced to be heard

• ½ Black Americans voiced struggling w finding cultural competent care mental health resources

• Technology allows us to spread awareness on important issues, social media, education, protest

• We can be the change we hope to see

What does it mean to lead with integrity, and why is it important?

• Serve others to address their needs and work to truly make a difference in community

• as VP, ask what members want to see and ensure providing resources to prepare them for success

• not just a title, but a promise i must uphold

• consistency, accountability, and empathy to ensures i help individuals feel empowered, capable

How do you overcome self-doubt and inspire others to believe in themselves?

• i realize self doubt is human but gods plan for me is greater,

• i replace fear with my passion, affirm that im worthy of success and trust in lord timing

How do you think we can bridge the gap in financial literacy among underprivileged communities?

• educating ourselves + integrating into communities

• host workshops and programs that educate on making and saving money

• more about surface but rather teach 401k, high yield savings, budget sheets

• not js how to make money but to maintain it

How do you think artificial intelligence will change the workforce, and what should we do to prepare for it?

• Both helpful and harmful, supplemental tool

• Can assist medical practitioners in diagnosis and treatment of mental health

What do you think is the biggest barrier preventing people from seeking mental health support?

• Lack of resources

• Half of Black Adults report struggling with finding cultural competent mental health providers and resources, make them feel unsafe

• people of color deserve to be seen, quality care is essential for mentla healht

What advice would you give to someone struggling with imposter syndrome?

• You are deserving of every opportunity you earn and every space you enter

• scared freshman > nsbwm became family

• vp work everyday to create the same experience

• leaned on others and knew that im capable of succes

What does it mean to truly embrace your natural Beauty?

• to be confident no matter the outside expectation and cherish every part of yourself

• as a natural hair creator, i get asked all the time how im confident

• educate myself on hair care, and realize my coils represent the strenghth i hold today

What does confidence mean to you, and what advice would you give to a person looking to improve their self-esteem?

• To be sure of yourself regardless of situation, expectation, and performance

• don’t discredit the effort and passion that has allowed u to enter all kinds of spaces

• As VP, i’ve seen the impact of positive self talk through mentorship and the role it plays in helping our members achieve their goals

 If given the resources, what community program or initiative would you create?

• I would create the Scholars in Stem Initiative, a program that awards students for excelling in academics and are interested in healthcare careers
