reps - senators, 25 yrs, 2 yr term, elected by voters

Executive Branch:

powers - chief of armed forces, grants federal pardons, makes treaties, vetos laws, appoints ambassadors

president - 35 yrs, natural born citizen, 4 yr term, elected by electoral college

Article 3

Judicial Branch:

powers - try crimes under constitution, federal laws and treaties, hear cases involving states, treason

supreme court - serve for life, appointed by Pres. w/ senate consent

full faith and credit between states

2 step process of AMENDING constitution:

2/3 vote of congress for proposal, 3/4 vote of state legislatures for ratification
