They aid to work with the community to include physical activity apart of everybody’s everyday lives. They do this educating people on their website why physical activity is important and how to get started, how they can get movement in their everyday lives, they post workout videos and also host events where people can come and join in

  • terry fox - helped raised money for cancer while running a marathon of hope

  • Wayne Gretzky - holds all time NHL records for goals assist and points

  • Sidney Crosby - scored the overtime golden goal in 2010 which won canada a gold medal in Vancouver and led his team to another gold in 2014. Became the first player to win a Stanley cup, Olympic gold and world championship as a captain

Does sport bring communities together? In which way and why. Can you think of an example

Yes obviously, make up some bullshit for the exam cause bruh. But for yk some inspiration

  • yes! Because it gives us a common ground to relate to. It promotes teamwork, breaking down barriers and allows us to relate to one another by sharing something everyone loves.

  • Ex. The knicks winning and all of nyc went bonkers, white out parties for the jets, people going to pubs to watch sports, idk… etcetc
