What is the great compromise

The Great compromise is when congress got divided into 2 parts the senate and House of Representatives. The senate has 2 senators per state doesn’t matter the size of the state this takes care of the small states and ties to the new jersey plan. The House of Representatives has their number of representatives based on the population.. more populated states have more represent this takes care of the big states and ties to the Virginia plan

They oppose the constitution favor of government that protected the rights and powers of the individual states. Thought the constitution gave too much power to the president wanted a bill of rights added to protect the people’s freedom.
