Reduces a syllable to a CV open syllable
Example: “Bake” -> /beɪ/

Reduplication
Repetition of a syllable in a work. Could be total or partial.
Example: “Mommy” -> /mɑmɑ/ or “Bottle” -> /bɑdɑ/

Cluster Reduction
Deletion of a consonant from a consonant cluster.
Example: Snow” -> /noʊ/ or “Stripe” -> /tɹaɪp/

Subsitution Processes

Stopping
Substitution of a stop for a fricative or an affricate (usually with similar place).
Example: “zoo”-> /du/

Substitute velar and palatal with alveolar place phoneme.

Deaffrication
Substitute a fricative for an affricate (usually containing a sound from the affricate)

Substitution of glides for liquids.

Vocalization
Substitute a vowel for vocalic /ɹ/ or /l/.
Example: “Tiger” -> /taɪgʊ/
