Pollute
To introduce harmful materials into the air, water, or soil.

Renewable natural resources
Resources that can be easily replaced, such as food, sunlight, and paper.

Non-renewable natural resources
Resources that cannot be easily replaced once used, like coal, oil, and metals.

What two things happen when we conserve?
1. our energy needs decrease (so we don't have to make more) and 2. we pollute less

How can people conserve energy?
Turn off lights/electronics, take shorter showers, set thermostat warmer/cooler than usual.
