Present Simple Tense
Used to express a universal truth or fact.
Affirmative form of 'to be'
The forms are am, is, are.
Affirmative form of regular verbs
For I / We / You / They use V; for He / She / It use V+s.
Negative form for regular verbs
For I / We / You / They use do not + V; for He / She / It use does not + V + s.
Inquisition for regular verbs
For I / We / You / They use Do + V; for He / She / It use Does + V + s.
Water (boil)
Water boils at 100°C.
The River Amazon (flow)
The River Amazon flows into the Pacific Ocean.
Suggest + V-ing
Means to propose an action.
Suggested structure
Suggest (that) S + (should + ) bare V.
Conditional sentence type 1
Used to express possible future situations: If clause in Simple Present, Main clause with 'will' + bare infinitive.
Conditional sentence type 2
Used for unlikely present or future situations: If clause in Simple Past, Main clause with 'would' + bare infinitive.
Conditional sentence type 3
Used for unreal past situations: If clause in Past Perfect, Main clause with 'would have' + past participle.
