Supraspinatus
Muscle of the rotator cuff; originates from the supraspinous fossa of the scapula and inserts at the greater tubercle of the humerus; function is to initiate abduction of the arm.
Infraspinatus
Muscle of the rotator cuff; originates from the infraspinous fossa of the scapula and inserts at the greater tubercle of the humerus; function is to rotate the arm laterally.
Teres Minor
Muscle of the rotator cuff; originates from the lateral margin of the scapula posterior and inserts at the greater tubercle of the humerus; function is to rotate the arm laterally.
Subscapularis
Muscle of the rotator cuff; originates from the subscapular fossa and inserts at the lesser tubercle of the humerus; function is to rotate the arm medially.
