Minimum length of a pull box (straight run)
For a straight run of five 4ext" conduits containing 2extAWG copper conductors, the minimum length is 32ext" per NEC 314.28(A)(1).
Free conductor length for splicing
In a 12ext−inch by 12ext−inch junction box, there shall be at least 6ext" of free conductor left for splicing per NEC 300.14.
Flat conductor cable
A wiring method that is not recognized for use as feeder or branch-circuit conductors per NEC 324.10(A).
Maximum hole size in a wood stud
For a nominal 1.5ext−inch by 3.5ext−inch wood stud without additional protection, the largest size hole permitted is 1ext" per NEC 300.4(A)(1).
Type MI cable strapping interval
This cable type is required to be strapped at intervals not exceeding 6′ per NEC 332.30.
Cellular metal floor raceway conductor limit
Generally, no conductor larger than 1/0extAWG shall be installed in this type of raceway per NEC 374.20.
Insulated conductor operating temperature
No conductor shall be used in a manner where its operating temperature exceeds that designated for the type of insulated conductor involve per NEC 310.14(A)(3).
Article 358
The Chapter 3 article in the NEC that covers the requirements for electrical metallic tubing.
Minimum-size parallel aluminum feeders
The smallest size aluminum feeder conductors permitted to be installed in parallel is 1/0extAWG per NEC 310.10(G)(1).
Damp locations
Locations protected from weather and not subject to saturation with water or other liquids, but subject to moderate degrees of moisture.
Smallest single current-carrying conductor in cable tray
In an industrial establishment, the smallest size permitted is 1/0extAWG per NEC 392.10(B)(1)(a).
Pull box length for conductors 4extAWG or larger
Where conductors are pulled straight through, the box length shall be at least 8 times the trade diameter of the largest raceway per NEC 314.28(A)(1).
Flush device enclosure design
A box used to enclose flush devices must be designed so that devices are completely enclosed on the back and sides per NEC 314.19.
6 AWG THW copper conductor ampacity
When installed in a raceway with not more than three current-carrying conductors, it can carry 65extA continuously per Table 310.16.
Integrated gas-spacer cable
A wiring method that is not permitted for use as an interior wiring method per NEC 326.12.
Minimum covering for 4,160-volt feeder
For nonmetallic conduit identified for direct burial without concrete encasement, the minimum covering is 18ext" per Table 305.15(A).
