Shows how God fulfills Old Testament prophecies

What does the Gospel if Mark represent?

Shows how Jesus is a sovereign ruler and suffers for his people

What does the Gospel of Luke represent?

Shows how Christ is fulfilling God's purpose = Jesus = salvation to both Jews and Gentiles

What does the Gospel of John represent?

Shows that Jesus is a divine son

Why did Jesus have to become human?

He had to in order to die on the cross. As a human, he could feel the same as us. Jesus becoming man shows God is with us. He shows us how to respond to situations, conduct ourselves, and how to depend on the Spirit of God.

Romans 10:9-10

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

John 1:1-5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. It shows God is Lord

It shows that Jesus is Lord, God is the ultimate authority. He has the right and to demand our obedience. Ignoring him does not abolish his authority
