Production
Filming occurs.
Post‑production
Editing, sound and effects are added.
Distribution
The film is shared with audiences.
Intention statement
A document explaining the purpose, message and goals of the film.
Intention statement contents
Genre, theme, purpose, audience and intended effect.
Audience statement
A document identifying the target audience and how the film appeals to them.
Storyboard
A visual plan showing shots before filming.
Purpose of storyboard
To organise shots and plan filming.
Inciting incident
The event that starts the main conflict.
Climax
The most intense moment in the story.
Descending action
Events that occur after the climax.
Resolution
The conclusion where conflicts are solved.
