General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS)
A reaction to stress involving the Alarm Reaction, Resistance Phase, and Exhaustion Phase.
Alarm Reaction
The first phase of GAS that includes the Fight-Flight-Freeze Response and the release of cortisol.
Cortisol
A hormone released during the Alarm Reaction phase of stress response.
