Became increasingly politicized in 1647, leading to radical attempts to force a settlement upon Charles, including the capture of the King by George Joyce.
The Remonstrance of the Army
Official document issued by the Army in November 1648, accusing the King of tyranny and calling for a public trial, leading to Pride's Purge in December.
