Pituitary dwarfism
(Too little GH) A condition caused by the hyposecretion of growth hormone in children, resulting in short stature with normal proportions.
Diabetes insipidus(Fluid - Thirst)
(too little ADH) A condition caused by the hyposecretion of antidiuretic hormone (ADH), characterized by thirst and excessive urine output.
Cretinism (Stupid and short)
(Too little Thyroid) A condition caused by the hyposecretion of thyroid hormone in children, characterized by mental retardation with a disproportionately short-sized body.
Myxedema(Mental sluggy)
(Too little Thyroid) A condition caused by the hyposecretion of thyroid hormone in adults, characterized by low metabolic rate, edema, and physical and mental sluggishness.
Hypoparathyroidism (little PTH spasms)
(Too little PTH) A condition caused by the hyposecretion of parathyroid hormone, resulting in neural excitability with tetany (muscle spasms) and convulsions.
Diabetes mellitus (too little insulin)
(Too little Insulin) A condition resulting from the hyposecretion or hypoactivity of insulin, characterized by an inability of cells to take up and utilize glucose and the loss of glucose in the urine.
Gigantism
(Too much GH) A condition caused by the hypersecretion of growth hormone in children, resulting in being abnormally tall.
Acromegaly (large bones)
(Too much GH)A condition caused by the hypersecretion of growth hormone in adults, characterized by abnormally large bones of the face, feet, and hands.
Syndrome of inappropriate ADH secretion
(Too much ADH) A condition caused by the hypersecretion of antidiuretic hormone (ADH), characterized by fluid retention, headache, and disorientation.
Graves' disease
(Too much Thyroid Hormone) A condition caused by the hypersecretion of thyroid hormone, characterized by elevated metabolic rate, sweating, irregular heart rate, weight loss, protrusion of the eyeballs, and nervousness.
Hyperparathyroidism (calcium gone)
(Too much PTH) A condition caused by the hypersecretion of parathyroid hormone, resulting in loss of calcium from bones, deformation, and spontaneous fractures.
Hypoglycemia (too much insulin)
(Too much Insulin) condition caused by the hypersecretion of insulin, resulting in low blood sugar and characterized by anxiety, nervousness, tremors, and weakness.
