Invasive Species
Species that are not native to a specific location and may cause harm to the environment, economy, or human health.
Excusable Circumstances
Situations like prolonged illness, hospitalization, or family emergencies that allow a student to be excused from class.
Hypothesis
An educated guess predicting the outcome of an experiment, formulated using 'if' and 'then'.
Independent Variable
The variable controlled by the experimenter to assess its effect on the dependent variable.
Dependent Variable
The variable that responds to changes in the independent variable; what is measured in the experiment.
Control Group
The group in an experiment that does not receive the treatment and is used for comparison.
