Laborious
A task, process, or journey requiring a significant effort, time, and perseverance.
Terse
Using few words, often in a way that is concise and polished, or unexpectedly abrupt and unfriendly.
Exhilarate
To make someone feel very happy, animated, or elated, often by filling them with high spirits.
Versatile
Being able to adapt to different functions or activities.
Hasten
Means to move quickly, hurry, or accelerate the progress of something.
Muster
To gather, summon, or assemble, often referring to bringing together troops, support, or personal courage.
Defiance
Bold opposition to rules or authority, such as Rosa Parks defying the rules of sitting in the back of the bus.
Swarm
To gather together in large numbers, often used to describe many insects or people moving together.
Headway
The forward movement, progress, or advancement of a task, such as how Katie Ledecky moved ahead of other swimmers.
Apprehensive
Feeling anxious, uneasy, or fearful that something bad or unpleasant might happen in the future.
Exasperation
A feeling of intense annoyance, frustration, or irritation, often caused by a lingering, difficult situation or a person's behavior.
Circumference
The total distance around the edge of a circle or a closed curved figure.
Circumference of the earth
The total distance around the planet, which is exactly 24,901miles.
Diminish
To make or become less in intensity, power, or presence.
Unsightly
Something unpleasant, unattractive, or ugly to look at, often standing out in an otherwise pleasant environment like litter or rashes.

A small hill or mound.

Refers to an opposing action, a flat surface for transactions or food preparation, or a device that tracks numbers.
Recluse

A synonym for defiance, characterized as bold opposition or resistance to authority.
