What kind of object does the nominative case address?
The DIRECT object of a sentence (the object that the verb is being directly carried out on/receiving the verb eg. i read a book. Book is the direct object)

The indirect object of the sentence - the person or thing that benefits from or is a recipent of the direct object (eg my grandfather read ME a book, I went on a run with my FATHER)
