Well-being
The degree to which a child feels emotionally good and can realize their basic needs; characterized by safety, relaxation, and self-confidence.
Involvement
The intensity and concentration with which a child is engaged in an activity, leading to deep learning when at high levels.
Leuvense Betrokkenheidsschaal (Leuven Involvement Scale)
A tool used to measure a child's involvement by observing behavior, concentration, duration of attention, and body language.
Language stimulation: 2.5 – 6 years
Developmental stage focusing on interactive reading, asking questions, using rhymes and songs, and naming emotions.
Inclusion
The principle that all children must be able to participate with support where necessary, prioritizing the child over the label.
Down Syndrome (Physical Characteristics)
Eyes with a skin fold, low nasal bridge, smaller build, tongue that appears large, four-finger hand line, and a large distance between toes.

ASS Crisis Responses
The three typical reactions to emotional overload: fight, flight, or freeze.
Green Zone (Conflicts)
A situation where children solve conflicts themselves while the adult's role is to observe and guide.
Orange Zone (Conflicts)
A phase where emotions rise; the role involves recognizing emotions, listening, summarizing, and using "I-messages" (ik-boodschap).
Red Zone (Conflicts)
A crisis or danger situation requiring direct intervention, saying STOP, and ensuring safety through separation before talking.

Social Position
One's place or standing within society.
Social Role
The specific expectations associated with a person's social position.
Social Status
The level of appreciation or value assigned to a social position.
Position Set
The collection of all social positions held by an individual together.
Internal Role Conflict
A conflict occurring within the expectations of a single social role.
External Role Conflict
A conflict occurring between two or more different roles held by the same individual.
Injunctive Norms
Group norms consisting of explicit rules.
Descriptive Norms
Group norms based on what people actually do in practice.

A model based on presence, self-control, vigilant care (waakzame zorg), and network cooperation.
