What is the Colonial Government?
-It was elected by colonists
-Could make local laws on their land
What is the English Government?
-King and Parliament was all in England and no colonial memers
-Governers were apponted by the king
What were the probblems that were involving the poltical government?
Colonists get used to their own representation

They have to buy it from England
What is the Navigation Act in 1650's?
Acts of parliament intended to proment the self-suffcienty of the British Empire by restricting colnial trade to England decreasing dependence on Foreign Imported goods

Prohibited American colonists from exporting wool or wool procucts outside of the colony in which it was produced

Birtish law restricting colnial manufacture and export of hats in direct competition with Englinsh hat makers

A British law that imposed a tax molasses, sugar, and rum imported from non-British foreign colonies into the North America colonies

Intened to stem the delvelopment of colonial manufactoring in competition with home industry by restricting the growth of the American iron industry to the supply of raw metals

How did Grenville help pass the Sugar Act?
The sugar act provided for a tax on sugar, molasses, and rum to help raise money. It lowered the tax but was more strict in enforcing it. Grenville helped pass the Sugar act by reducing the taxes and to make sure it was strictly enforced.
How did the Englightenment influence the American Revolution?
The Englightenment influenced the American Revolution by promoting the ideas of individual rights, liberty, and democracy. These ideas caused the colonists to question the way things had been done and fight for their individual rights. As a result they looked for the freedom to develop their own govenemnt based on democracy.
