Who was Herodotus
The Greek writer Herodotus is often called. The father of history because he asked why certain events happened.
Who was Thucydides
Thucydides Athens was another important Greek historian born in 460 BC Thucydides during the Peloponnesian war. he began writing his history of the war while the events were fresh and peoples memories
Who was Thales
One of the first scientific thinkers was a philosopher named Thales of Miletus. he was born around 624 BC Thales ask questions such as how big is the Earth what is it shape? What holds it up in space.

Democritus said that the universe was made up of tiny particles that cannot be split. He called them atoms.
