What are the eight essential components of communication?

What is the role of the source in communication?
The source imagines, creates, and sends the message.
How does the message convey meaning?
The message consists of the words chosen, tone of voice, body language, and the way the information is organized.
What is the definition of the channel in communication?
The channel is the way messages travel between the source and receiver.
What is meant by the receiver in the communication process?
The receiver is the person who receives the message and interprets it in ways intended and unintended by the source.
What constitutes feedback in communication?
Feedback is the response that the receiver sends back to the source, which can be verbal or nonverbal.
What is the role of the environment in communication?
The environment includes the physical and psychological atmosphere where messages are sent and received.
Define context in the communication process.
Context involves the setting, scene, and expectations of the individuals involved in the communication.
What is interference, also known as noise, in communication?
Interference is anything that blocks or changes the intended meaning of the source's message.
How do the transactional and constructivist models of communication differ?
Transactional model views communication as a simultaneous process between source and receiver, while the constructivist model focuses on negotiated meaning.
