What is the Bible?

• Holy book in Christianity - made up of multiple stories and has Old and New

• Christians use it as a guide on how to live their life

What is Revelation?

• God making himself known through humankind

• Through Jesus and the Bible

What is Judgement?

• God will judge whether humans are worthy of getting into heaven

• Follow Christian lifestyle - Parable of Sheep and Goats

What is Baptism?

• Rite of initiation - becoming member of the religion

• Immersed in water and washing original sin away

What is Confirmation?

• When a person affirms their Christian beliefs - especially if they were baptised as an infant

• Become a full member of the church

What is Reason?

• The process and ability to think in a logical way

• People can form judgement and opinions through considerations

What is Eucharist?

• Holy Communion - celebrates death and resurrection of Jesus

• Re-enactments of Last Supper - people have bread and wine

What is Pilgrimage?

• The journey to sacred places as an act of worship or devotion

• Some Christians may go to Jerusalem to walk in Jesus’ footsteps

What is Free will?

• The ability to make choices independently

• God has a plan for us and we have free will to go off his plan

What is Heaven?

• Place/state in afterlife for people who have accepted God’s grace and forgiveness in this life

• Rewarded and enjoy eternal existence in God’s presence

What is Hell?

• Place/state in afterlife where people are punished for rejecting God’s grace and forgiveness

• Live eternally outside of God’s presence

What are Vows?

• Promises made between people or to God

• Wedding vows are promises between bride and groom committing to each other

What are Marriage Symbols?

• Features of a wedding ceremony that indicate purpose and meaning of marriage

• Wedding ring - continuous circle symbolises never ending love between bride and groom
