activity analysis
examines the typical demands of an activity without focusing on a specific individual. The therapist examines the activity itself to identify the skills, tools, sequencing, safety requirements, and demands required to complete the task successfully
Occupational analysis
examines the interaction between the person, the occupation, and the environment. The focus shifts from the activity alone to how meaningful the occupation is for a specific individual. It considers routines, values, habits, culture, motivation, and occupational identity.
