Emotional Support

Esteem Support

Informational Support
Sharing information or providing advice to help others.
Tangible/Instrumental Support
Financial assistance or material goods provided to help someone manage their responsibilities.
Companionship Support

Ascribed Status
A social status that is assigned at birth and cannot be changed.
Achieved Status
A social position that an individual attains as a result of their actions and efforts.
Master Status

Role Strain
