Alan Martin is the soical work in the criminal justice system. Brian Cook is his case who he treats not like a social worker. Another of alans cases, Ramon, was involved with drugs and whepons where used. He later died in the hospital. Alan rethought his position as a social worker and got a call form Brians schol that said he hadnt attended. He later descovered that the school had messed up.

Police social work:

within police departments, courthouses and jails. They work a lot with personal and family crisis situations. Cases besides DV may include traffic accidents and fatalities, child abuse, suicide, substance abuse, mental health emergencies and family disputes. They provide crisis intervention, brief individual or family counseling, referrals, victim assistance and sexual assault intervention, as well as community crime prevention efforts. In addition to home visits and crime scene crisis work, they are involved in crime prevention work in the community.
