The Cardiovascular System - made up of
the heart, blood, and blood vessels (arteries, veins and capillaries) .
The Cardiovascular System - responsible for + in excercise
The cardiovascular system is responsible for the circulation of blood and oxygen around the body.
When we begin exercising, it initiates responses to increase the circulation of oxygen via the bloodstream
Heart rate
the number of times your heart beats per minute.
Maximum heart rate
the maximum number of times your heart beats per minute.
Heart rate and Intensity
As exercise intensity increases, there will be a proportional increase in heart rate until our maximum heart rate is met.
↑ (HR) Heart rate
the number of times the heart beats in one minute
↑ (SV) Stroke volume
amount of blood ejected from the left ventricle per beat (mls)
↑ (Q) Cardiac Output
the amount of blood ejected by the left ventricle in one minute..
Q = HR x SV
Cardiovascular responses
↑ (HR) Heart rate
↑ (SV) Stroke volume
↑ (Q) Cardiac Output
