EVANGELINE: He’s saying goodbye to her. He’s going to leave her.
He is making the right choice. It is what she wants, and how the balance of the universe should be.
EVANGELINE: I know I lost our bet. You don’t have to tell me.
I know
EVANGELINE: I know I made everything worse. And I know Wesley wasn’t a good person but- - does that mean he deserved to die?
It does not matter what anyone deserves. Everyone dies
EVANGELINE: I don’t think I want your job anymore, Death. I don’t know how I could live like this, surrounded by constant sadness, always saying goodbye.
It is not always sad, Evangeline. Sometimes it is quiet. Peaceful, even. Most people are lucky enough that they have happy memories to look back on, people who will be waiting for them on the other side. It is never goodbye. not forever. -beat, look at couple- Besides, I am not so certain you lost. Yes, Maeve struggled, but Isaac and Maeve can finally say goodbye. She can finally heal. Perhaps she would have healed anyway, we do not know. Fate is tricky that way. the fact of the matter is, Evangeline, my job is not hard. It is honest, it is necessary. my existence allows all of these people, every human, the chance to live.
EVANGELINE: Yes, I suppose, but don’t you get lonely? I get lonely all the time. You know me. You know I can never really love anyone. It’s not how I was created
That is not true. I have watched as you gave everything - your time, your kindness, your sacrifice - to help Maeve and Isaac. Is that not love? beat For now, though, Evangeline, let us watch this. As it end.
SIOBHAN: Oh, don’t worry about it.
Siobhan, honey, everything alright?
