First Amendment

5 freedoms: speech, press, religion, assembly, petition

Sixth Amendment

A constitutional amendment designed to protect individuals accused of crimes. It includes the right to counsel, the right to confront witnesses, and the right to a speedy and public trial.

Fourth Amendment

Protects Americans against unreasonable searches and seizures. No soldier, Gov agent, or police can search your home without a search warrant.

Second Amendment

Right to bear arms

Third Amendment

The government may not house soldiers in private homes without consent of the owner

Fifth Amendment

protects the rights of persons accused of crimes, including protection against double jeopardy, self-incrimination, and punishment without due process of law.

Seventh Amendment

Right to trial by jury in civil cases

Eight Amendment

forbids excessive bail and cruel or unusual punishment

Ninth Amendment

People's rights are not limited to those listed in the Constitution

Tenth Amendment

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states.
