Confirms shock is indicated and directs continuing chest compressions

After confirming shock and continuing compressions

Clears patient, presses ‘shock’

Directs 2nd rescuer to resume compressions

Opens airway

Verbalizes insertion of an OPA

After OPA insertion

Continues CPR at correct rate & ratio (100-120 compressions/min, 30 compressions : 2 breaths)
