When and where did Industrial Revolution begin?
It started in Great Britain in the 1750s and then it spread to Europe, North America, and all over the world
Why did Britain first industrialise?
They realised that it offered better agriculture, natural resources, and a more stable and political environment
Coal and iron significancy
Coal was a vital resource for powering steam engines. Iron was heavy duty material which was good for building railways and bridges.
How did population affect industrialisation
There was lots of mass production of goods, and rapid social change, lots of people moved from farms to the city, more transportation introduced, countries competed for power and land.
Why was agriculture important and how did it lead to population growth?
This enabled more food, growth and transport. It boosted food availability which attracted people to settle down from farms to the central areas.

James Watt invented the steam engine which was important because it converted heat into mechanical work.

there was rapid population growth, and due to the amount of people there was lots of overcrowding, and lack of sanitation
