No person, firm, corporation, including any agency, or instrumentality of the government shall erect, construct, alter, repair, move, convert or demolish any building or structure or cause the same to be done without first obtaining a building permit therefor from the BUilding Official assigned in the place where the subject building is located or the building work is to be done.
Building Permit
According to what law is architecture the art and science or profession of planning designing and constructing buildings in their own totality taking into account their environment, in accordance with the principles of utility, strength and beauty.

Type I

Walls, ceilings, and permanent partitions shall be of incombustible fire-resistive construction; Except, that permanent non-bearing partitions of one-hour fire resistive construction may use fire -retardant treated wood within the framing assembly.
Type IV
Buildings shall be fire-resistive. The structural elements shall be of steel, iron, concrete, or masonry construction. Walls, ceilings, and permanent partitions shall be incombustible fire-resistive construction. Four hour fire-resistive throughout
Type V
These are areas within which only certain types of buildings are permitted to be constructed based on their use or occupancy, type of construction, and resistance to fire.

C-3 Commercial Three or Metropolitan Commercial
A medium industrial use or occupancy characterized mainly as a low-rise but sprawling building/structure for medium intensity manufacturing or production activities.
I-2 Industrial Two
A light industrial use or occupancy characterized mainly as low-rise but sprawling building/structure for low intensity manufacturing or production activities
I-1 Industrial One
A range of recreational uses or occupancies characterized mainly as low-rise to medium-rise building/structure for low to medium functions related to educational uses e.g., structures on campuses or its component parks/open spaces and all other kinds of recreational or assembly buildings/structures on campus such as auditoria mess halls, seminar facilities, gymnasia, stadia, arenas and the like.

A community to national level of cultural use or occupancy characterized mainly as a low-rise or medium-rise building/structure for cultural activities e.g., cultural centers, convention centers, very large office or mixed use occupancy buildings and the like
CUL Cultural
An agricultural or agriculture-related use or occupancy, characterized mainly as a low-rise or medium-rise building/structure for low to high intensity agricultural or related activities, e.g., poultry houses, hatcheries, and the like.
