WHAT ARE THE SIX Tables of Army Marksmanship (IWQ)?

  • Table I - Preliminary Marksmanship Instruction (PMI) & Evaluation: required diagnostics, weapon disassembly/assembly, and a written test (80% passing score)

  • Table II - Simulation (EST - Engagement Skills Trainer): virtual training to practice target acquisition, aiming, and trigger control without live ammunition

  • Table III - Drills (Skills & Drills): loading, unloading, clearing malfunctions, cycling through various positions (prone, kneeling, standing)

  • Table IV - Grouping & Zeroing: first live fire table, ensuring weapon is correctly aimed and grouping shots within standard (8/10 rounds in two consecutive five-round shot groups within a 4cm circle at 25 meters)

  • Tables V - Practice: Full practice qualification. Soldiers engage targets while incorporating position changes and magazine changes under time constraints.

  • Table VI - Qualification: Soldier engages 40 targets varying in distances of 50-300m and must score 23 out of 40 hits.
