Digital Content
Any content preserved, expressed, or exchanged as digital data, including written information, images, sounds, or videos.
Text or written content
A type of digital content that includes essays, blogposts, list of commodities, citizen's charter, prices of commodities, e-paper, and reports.
Video Streaming
The direct telecast of events on the Internet, regarded as a type of video content.
E-book
The electronic format of a printed book that can be read using a computer or a specialized device like an e-book reader.
Kindle
The most popular e-book reader produced by Amazon.com.
Standing for Portable Document Format, it is the file format used for e-books that are an exact copy of a printed version.
EPUB
A format for e-books that provides additional facilities like making comments and finding word meanings; readable on devices like iBooks and Kindle.
Smart e-book
An e-book enriched with interactive multimedia features such as audio, video, animation, quizzes, and 3D images.
Tablet
An electronic device typically smaller than a laptop but larger than a smartphone, often used for educational purposes.
Web page
A document suitable for the World Wide Web and Internet browsers, usually created using Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML).
Web Site
An allocated space or location on a computer connected to the Internet used to store one or more web pages.
Web Portal
A collection of links, content, and services within a website presented simply to inform users, such as government info portals or airline booking sites.
Web Server
A special kind of Hardware or Software that provides services and responds to requests from multiple clients at the same time.
Web Client
Software, usually a browser, that sends requests for data via HTTP or HTTPS protocols to a server.
TCP/IP
Standing for Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol, it is the communication protocol used on the Internet to send messages.
Downloading
The process of getting information from a remote system to a local system over a computer network.
Uploading
The process of sending data from a local system to a remote system using the Internet or a network.
Web Browser
Software used to display Internet information, web pages, or the World Wide Web-WWW.
Tim Berners Lee
The individual who created the first web browser, called World Wide Web, in 1990.
URL
Standing for Uniform Resources Locator, it is the complete address of a web site or page, consisting of a protocol, hostname, and file location.
Home page
The main page of an organization, company, or person's website that appears as soon as the address is typed in a browser.
Bookmark
A web page list that allows a user to go directly to a page by selecting its name.
Search Engine
A software tool, such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, MSN, or Ant, that finds information from the World Wide Web.
Office Software
A category of applications, including word processors and spreadsheets, used for writing literature and maintaining accounts.
Formatting Text
The task of organizing a piece of writing in an aesthetic or colorful way by selecting font styles, sizes, and colors.
Font
The term used for letters of different styles in a word processor.
Bullets and numbering
Signs, letters, or numbers used in word processors to maintain serials in lists.
Line Spacing
A tool used to determine the vertical space between two lines of text.
Word Art
A feature in word processors that allows users to insert fonts of different artistic styles from the text group.
Spell-checker
A built-in program in word processors that detects misspelled words and presents correct alternatives from a dictionary.
Spreadsheet
An interactive computer application software used for organizing, analyzing, and storing data in tabular forms.
PRODUCT Function
A spreadsheet function used to multiply the range of numerous cells, expressed as PRODUCT(cell_range).
Division Formula
The method for dividing in a spreadsheet, written as =A1/B1 to divide cell A1 by cell B1.
Percentage Formula
A calculation method in spreadsheets, such as =A3×B3% to find a specific percentage of a value.
