Flexion
Movement that decreases the angle between body parts, as in bending the elbow or knee.
Supination
Rotational movement of the forearm or foot where the palm is facing upwards or forwards.
Pronation
Rotational movement of the forearm or foot where the palm is facing downwards or backwards.
Ulnar Deviation
Movement of the wrist towards the ulna or the inner side of the forearm.
Radial Deviation
Movement of the wrist towards the radius or the outer side of the forearm.
Thumb CM Flexion
Bending at the carpometacarpal joint of the thumb, reducing the angle to a maximum of 15°.
IP Flexion
Flexion at the interphalangeal joint of the thumb leading to an angle reduction of up to 50°.
MCP Flexion
Flexion at the metacarpophalangeal joint of the fingers that allows a maximum of 90° of movement.
Shoulder Flexion
Movement that raises the arm in front of the body to a maximum of 180°.
Shoulder Abduction
Movement that raises the arm to the side away from the body, reaching up to 180°.
