Epic hero definition

The main character of an epic poem that tells the story of a grand quest in which they use their extraordinary or superhuman abilities to achieve great things

Used to be a hero before “doing a 180” or “crossing over to the dark side”

According to Aristotle, they must have the following qualities, must be of noble birth, must have a tragic flaw (hamartia), their downfall or reversal of fortune is caused by their tragic flaw (NOT fate), thier punishment must out weigh the crime, is not entirely good nore entirely evil, the reader must feel some measure of sympathy for the tragic hero
