Concrete Aggregates
Must meet ASTM standards, with size restrictions based on form dimensions and spacing between reinforcement bars.
Fine Aggregates
Consist of natural or crushed materials, with a minimum strength requirement for use in concrete.
Coarse Aggregates
Comprise crushed stone, gravel, or slag meeting density criteria if used in concrete.
Water
Should be clean and free of harmful substances, with acceptable deviations in setting time.
Metal Reinforcements
Steel bars must meet specified material requirements for concrete reinforcement.
Admixtures
Air-entraining admixtures must conform to ASTM standards, while chemical admixtures and fly ash have specific requirements for concrete use.
