Nate: We need you to make a statue of Aphrodite for her temple.
My temple! (Runs across the stage mystically)
(The priests are the moon and sun.)
(Aphrodite enters.) He hasn’t been eating or sleeping. Soon he will die because of this beautiful statue that he has made of me—Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty—for my temple.
Tate: Oh great goddess Aphrodite.
(Aphrodite enters.)
Tate: If Galatea can never be mine, take away my life.
Poor Pygmalion would rather die than live without Galatea. I will bring Galatea to life so that Pygmalion will be happy and live a full life.
Milin: I declare you husband and wife. You may high five the bride. (Everyone is in slow motion.)
OH YEAH APHRODITE! HIGH FIVE…really? No one?
Carmen: Aphrodite, the great goddess of love and beauty, please grant us this one last wish. Please let our souls leave our bodies at the same time, so that we will never have to live even one moment apart.
I shall grant the final wish of Pygmalion and Galatea. When their time has come, their souls will leave their bodies at the same time. These good people deserve to have their request granted.
