Most important representation for MPs. Only an MP because a winning party chose them as a candidate with exception of small number of independent MPs

Mandate (and doctor’s mandate) and manifesto

MPs have a ‘doctor’s mandate’ to do what they think is the best for their constituency. This is linked to their party’s manifesto at the last election
