Synthesis Reaction
A + B ——> AB
A type of chemical reaction where two or more reactants combine to form a single product.
Decomposition Reaction
AB—→ A+B
Single Replacement Reaction
A + BC—→ AC+B
Double Replacement
AB+ CD—→ AD+CB
Redox Reaction
A+B—>A^+ +B^-
A chemical process involving the transfer of electrons between two species, resulting in a change in their oxidation numbers
Acid-base Reaction
Chemical process where an acid and base react and usually contains H^+ ions. It will usually result in water and salt.
Precipitation Reaction
a double replacement reaction that ends with at least one solid
Combustion Reaction
usually a hydrocarbon reacting with an oxidant like 02 which is usually (CO2) and (H2O)
NH4+
Ammonium
Oxidation
Loses electrons
Reduction
Gains electrons
How do you calculate change in Enthalpy?
